Mia Jay
Sophomore Mia Jay has been an avid dancer for nearly 7 years. Jay dances with the California Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA), which performs annual shows like the Nutcracker at Campolindo.

"Some of my closest friends are from dance," said Jay, adding that dance has taught her "a lot of life skills about disappointment and reaching for [her] goals." Jay has plans to continue dancing throughout high school and beyond.

When she's not dancing, she spends her time volunteering at Aegis, a senior citizen community in Moraga. Her favorite part includes connecting with the people there, some of whom she has made friends with.

"I love learning new things and I love the environment of CAPA and all of the life lessons I have learned," said Jay.
