Mia Jay
Freshman Mia Jay has pursued her passion for dancing since the 2nd grade. After watching a performance of the The Nutcracker, Jay said she "just knew it was something I wanted to do." This year, in the California Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA) Nutcracker, she performed as both the Mouse King villan and the maid.

Jay wants to continue dancing in CAPA productions, although she has only started to audition these past few years. Mostly, she wishes to "have more principle roles to come." Principal roles, such as the Mouse King, take center stage in "starting the conflict of the whole fantasy," said Jay.

This is especially important to her as an actress. Jay works with the Peter Pan Foundation, a singing, dancing, and acting foundation that raises money for kids with cancer.

For now, Jay continues to refine her acting and her dancing in hopes to pursue her dream.
